We are now seeking a Donor Relations Specialist to join our team and help us cultivate strong relationships with our donors.

Job Overview: As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the success of our organization by managing and maintaining relationships with our donors. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential donors, as well as nurturing existing relationships to ensure their continued support. You will work closely with the fundraising team to develop strategies and initiatives that will strengthen our donor base and increase donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive donor relations plan to engage and retain donors
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations
• Maintain regular communication with donors through various channels, including email, phone calls, and in-person meetings
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and respond promptly to inquiries and requests
• Organize and coordinate donor appreciation events, such as thank-you dinners and recognition ceremonies
• Create and distribute marketing materials to promote our organization and its impact to potential donors
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives
• Maintain accurate donor records and track donations to ensure proper acknowledgement and recognition
• Conduct research on donor trends and preferences to inform donor relations strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with other organizations and individuals who can provide support or referrals for potential donors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or a similar role
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management software
• Knowledge of fundraising best practices and strategies
