Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our company's technology infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our company's growing technology needs
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of all infrastructure components, including servers, databases, networks, and storage systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to infrastructure, working closely with other teams to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Develop and maintain documentation for all infrastructure systems and processes
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential risks and implement necessary updates and improvements
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes
- Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects, including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery exercises
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and departments as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure systems
- Continuously monitor and optimize infrastructure costs to ensure efficient use of resources and budget management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment
