Position: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. As an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and maintaining compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures and protocols
• Investigate and report on any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
• Work closely with department managers to address any safety concerns and make recommendations for improvements
• Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations and ensure compliance at all times
• Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental health and safety activities
• Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts, including developing and implementing emergency procedures and conducting drills
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety procedures
• Experience in conducting audits and inspections
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) is preferred
