Job Title: Student Success Advisor

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Student Success Advisor. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to our students to ensure their academic and personal success. This position requires a strong passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to students in navigating their academic journey, including course selection, program planning, and academic progress tracking.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor their academic progress, discuss any challenges or concerns, and provide guidance and resources as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty members to identify students who may require additional support and develop intervention plans to ensure their success.
• Plan and facilitate workshops and seminars on topics such as time management, study skills, and test-taking strategies to help students achieve academic excellence.
• Serve as a point of contact for students and provide timely and accurate information on academic policies, procedures, and resources.
• Work closely with campus resources and refer students to appropriate support services, such as tutoring and counseling, to address their academic and personal needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions and progress to track trends and identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay current on academic policies, procedures, and resources.
• Collaborate with other Student Success Advisors to develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall student experience and promote student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or student support services.
• Strong understanding of academic policies, procedures, and resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and build relationships with students.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of empathy, patience, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
