Are you a passionate and experienced animal production manager looking for a new and exciting opportunity? If so, we have the perfect role for you!As an Animal Production Manager at Farm Friend, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and management of all animal-related operations. This includes managing the daily activities of the animal production team, ensuring the health and welfare of the animals, and implementing strategies to increase productivity and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet company goals and targets
• Manage and supervise a team of animal production workers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Monitor the health and well-being of all animals, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
• Oversee the breeding and reproduction process, including selecting breeding pairs, monitoring pregnancies, and ensuring the delivery of healthy offspring
• Maintain accurate records of animal production data, including inventory, breeding records, and production costs
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to develop and implement strategies for promoting and selling animal products
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for animal welfare, health, and safety
• Identify and implement improvements to existing production processes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve production methods and techniques
• Manage the procurement of supplies and equipment needed for animal production operations
• Train and develop production staff, providing ongoing education and coaching to improve skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in animal science, agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal production management, preferably in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of animal health and welfare standards and regulations
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Proven experience in developing and implementing production plans and strategies
• Knowledge of production cost management and experience in implementing cost-saving measures
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
