Job Title: Air Traffic Controller

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Air Traffic Controller to join our team. As an Air Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of air traffic in designated airspace. This is a critical role that plays a key role in maintaining the safety and security of our nation’s airspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and direct the movement of air traffic within designated airspace
• Communicate with pilots and provide them with necessary instructions and information
• Maintain constant communication with other air traffic controllers and personnel involved in flight operations
• Use radar and other equipment to track and monitor the movement of aircraft
• Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans
• Coordinate with other air traffic control facilities to ensure the safe and efficient flow of air traffic
• Respond to emergency situations and provide guidance to pilots in emergency situations
• Maintain accurate records of all air traffic movements and communications
• Stay updated on current rules, regulations, and procedures related to air traffic control
• Train and mentor new air traffic controllers as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a certified air traffic controller with a valid FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certificate
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an air traffic controller
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Must be able to pass a rigorous background check and drug test
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Knowledge of radar and other air traffic control equipment
• Proficient in computer systems and software used in air traffic control
