Job Title: Tour Guide

Overview: We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of tourists on various tours and providing them with an informative and enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong passion for travel and sharing cultural knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided tours for groups of tourists, providing them with historical, cultural, and geographical information about the destination
• Plan and organize tour itineraries, ensuring a balance of popular attractions and off-the-beaten-path experiences
• Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants at all times
• Engage with tourists and answer any questions they may have about the destination, culture, or customs
• Use storytelling techniques to make the tour engaging and memorable for participants
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
• Manage logistics such as transportation, entrance fees, and reservations for attractions and meals
• Keep up-to-date with current events and attractions in the destination to provide relevant and timely information to tour participants
• Handle any unexpected situations or issues that may arise during the tour

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Tour Guide or in a similar role is preferred
• Strong knowledge and passion for the destination and its culture
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures
• Fluent in multiple languages is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Tourism or related field is preferred
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as needed
• Physically fit and able to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Working Conditions: This role primarily involves working outdoors and requires physical activity such as walking and standing for extended periods of time. The Tour Guide may also need to lift or carry equipment and supplies. The working hours may vary depending on the tour schedule and may include weekends and holidays.
