Position: Environmental Education Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Environmental Education Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Education Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs and initiatives to promote environmental awareness and conservation. You will work closely with our team to design and deliver engaging educational activities and materials for various audiences, including students, teachers, and community members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental education, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational programs and initiatives that promote environmental awareness and conservation.
• Design and deliver engaging educational activities and materials for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum, lesson plans, and educational resources.
• Conduct research and gather data to support the development of educational content.
• Participate in community outreach and education events to raise awareness about environmental issues.
• Establish partnerships and maintain relationships with schools, organizations, and other stakeholders to promote environmental education.
• Train and mentor volunteers and interns to assist with educational activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, education, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental education or related field.
• Knowledge of environmental issues and conservation principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and educational software.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
