Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed analysis and evaluations of existing utility systems to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative designs and solutions for new utility systems and upgrades to existing systems
Create and maintain technical specifications, plans, and drawings for utility projects
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new utility systems and upgrades
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of utility systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to utility systems in a timely and efficient manner
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in utility systems to continuously improve our operations
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project updates, recommendations, and results to management and stakeholders
Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on utility system design, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility engineering, preferably in the electricity, gas, or water industry
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including design, construction, and maintenance of utility systems
Experience with utility system modeling and analysis software
In-depth understanding of safety and regulatory standards for utility systems
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
