Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot database issues reported by internal teams or end-users
Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and performance of databases
Monitor database systems to identify and resolve issues proactively
Collaborate with the IT team to develop solutions for database-related problems
Optimize database performance by identifying and implementing necessary changes
Create and maintain technical documentation for database procedures and processes
Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data security
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and tools
Train and support end-users on database usage and best practices
Participate in database design and development projects, as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues
Familiarity with database security and backup procedures
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in database administration or related field
Experience with cloud-based databases and database migration
Knowledge of data warehousing and data mining
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
