Shipbuilding Project Manager

Position: Shipbuilding Project Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Project Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of our company's shipbuilding projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the shipbuilding process, from initial design and planning to final delivery and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, as well as comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the overall shipbuilding project, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Work closely with naval architects, engineers, and other team members to develop project plans and designs
• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for ship construction
• Manage all aspects of the shipbuilding process, including construction, outfitting, and testing
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely completion
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any concerns or issues
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that all work meets project specifications
• Manage project budgets and expenses, making cost-effective decisions to stay within budget
• Lead and mentor a team of shipbuilding professionals, providing guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, marine engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in shipbuilding project management
• Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, regulations, and industry standards
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse team
• Proven track record of successfully managing shipbuilding projects from start to finish
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to travel as needed for project-related activities
