Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods in and out of our warehouse facility. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and invoices
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping guidelines
• Ensure all shipping and receiving documents are accurate and filed appropriately
• Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
• Inspect shipments for damages and report any issues to management
• Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and store materials
• Keep warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and track information
• Proficient in using basic computer software, such as Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Forklift certification is a plus

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time position that may require working weekends and/or overtime
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time
• May be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions in a warehouse setting
