Position: Legislative Policy Advisor

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legislative Policy Advisor to join our team. As a Legislative Policy Advisor, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing legislative strategies for our organization. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing complex legislative issues, and providing expert guidance to inform decision-making. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the legislative process, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of legislative proposals, bills, and regulations in order to provide strategic recommendations to our organization.
• Monitor and track legislative developments and provide timely updates to key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key legislators, government officials, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement legislative strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Draft and review legislative proposals, briefings, talking points, and other materials.
• Participate in meetings and hearings with legislators and other stakeholders to advocate for our organization's position.
• Provide expert guidance to internal teams on the potential impact of legislative proposals and regulations on our organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, political climate, and policy changes that may affect our organization.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate legislative updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, legislative affairs, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the legislative process and government operations.
• Proven experience in conducting research and analysis on complex legislative issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful legislative strategies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and compliance with laws and regulations.
