Job Title: Music Director

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Music Director to join our dynamic team and lead our musical productions. As a Music Director, you will be responsible for selecting, rehearsing, and conducting music for our various performances, including concerts, musicals, and other events. You will work closely with our artistic team to create an exceptional musical experience for our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and arrange music for all performances, ensuring that it aligns with the artistic vision and style of the production
• Conduct rehearsals with the cast and musicians to ensure a cohesive and polished musical performance
• Collaborate with the artistic team to develop a clear musical vision for each production
• Communicate and coordinate with musicians, singers, and other performers to ensure a smooth and successful performance
• Create and maintain musical scores and parts for each production
• Provide guidance and support to the cast and musicians, helping them to improve their musical skills and performances
• Attend production meetings and work closely with the production team to ensure a cohesive and seamless production
• Work with the technical team to ensure that the sound and music are of the highest quality during performances
• Stay up-to-date with current musical trends and techniques, and incorporate them into our productions when appropriate
• Oversee the budget for musical productions, including hiring musicians and purchasing or renting musical equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music, Musical Theatre, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Music Director, preferably in a professional setting
• Strong knowledge of music theory, conducting, and arranging
• Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with a variety of musical styles and genres
• Passion for creating exceptional musical experiences for audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of artists and performers
