Job Title: Big Data Developer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's big data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure the smooth flow and management of our large and complex datasets. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain our company's big data infrastructure
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and design optimal data solutions
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure the accurate and timely transfer of data
• Implement and optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms to support the efficient processing of large datasets
• Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in big data technologies and make recommendations for their implementation
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members
• Document code and processes for future reference and training purposes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Big Data Developer or in a similar role
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, etc.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with database systems and SQL
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
