Position: Student Success Coach

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Student Success Coach. As a Student Success Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting and guiding students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Our ideal candidate is someone who is committed to student success, has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and is able to build strong relationships with students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized coaching and support to students to help them develop academic and personal skills necessary for success.
• Develop and implement personalized success plans for each student, addressing their specific needs and goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback and guidance to ensure they stay on track to achieve their goals.
• Facilitate workshops and group sessions to help students improve study skills, time management, organization, and other key skills for academic success.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address any barriers to student success and develop strategies for improvement.
• Connect students to campus resources and support services, such as tutoring, counseling, and academic advising.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and coaching sessions.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in student success coaching.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a coaching or mentoring role.
• Strong understanding of student development and the challenges facing college students.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Empathetic and patient, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.
• Proven ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with student support resources and services.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
