Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic counseling and guidance to students on course selection, program requirements, and academic policies.

• Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to ensure they are on track to meet their academic goals.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions related to academic success, study skills, and time management.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in academic policies and program requirements and communicate these changes to students.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students, providing guidance and support during difficult situations.
• Utilize data and student feedback to continually improve advising services and support student retention.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
• Strong understanding of academic programs and policies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of student development theory, academic success strategies, and learning styles.
• Proficiency in using technology and student information systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
