Job Title: Fashion Buyer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fashion Buyer to join our team. As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing the latest fashion trends and merchandise for our company. You will work closely with the merchandising and sales teams to ensure that our product selection aligns with our company's brand and meets the demands of our target market. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for fashion, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for staying ahead of the latest fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify current and upcoming fashion trends, and anticipate future consumer demands
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and designers to secure the best merchandise at competitive prices
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal margins and inventory turnover
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop a product assortment that aligns with our brand and meets the needs of our target market
• Analyze sales data to identify high-performing products and make recommendations for future purchases
• Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitors' strategies to inform purchasing decisions
• Attend fashion shows, trade shows, and other industry events to source new products and build relationships with vendors
• Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments to purchase orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Work with the sales team to develop marketing strategies and promotions to boost sales of new and existing products
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and efficient distribution of merchandise to our stores or online platforms

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion buying or merchandising
• Proven track record of successfully identifying and purchasing on-trend merchandise
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry, including trends, designers, and product categories
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail software systems
• Willingness to travel for industry events and vendor meetings as needed
