Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Livestock Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and management, as well as excellent leadership skills. As a Livestock Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our livestock facility and ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise a team of livestock workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor daily activities of the facility and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for animal care, nutrition, and handling.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of animal health, production, and inventory.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and other specialists to ensure the health and welfare of the animals.
• Monitor and manage the budget for the livestock facility, including purchasing supplies and equipment as needed.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize animal health and productivity.
• Train and educate staff on animal care, handling, and safety protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in livestock management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in livestock management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, nutrition, and health.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Proficient in record keeping and budget management.
• Detail-oriented and able to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.

Working Conditions: This is a Full-time position that may require working on weekends, holidays, and evenings. The Livestock Supervisor will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions and may be exposed to loud noises, strong odors, and potential hazards associated with handling livestock.
