Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Farm Animal Production Coordinator to join our team. As the Farm Animal Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, managing the production of our livestock, and ensuring the overall welfare and health of our animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and a passion for sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the farm, including feeding, watering, and caring for livestock
• Monitor the health and wellbeing of animals and provide necessary medical treatment when needed
• Oversee the breeding, birthing, and weaning processes of farm animals
• Coordinate with veterinarians and nutritionists to develop and implement animal health and nutrition plans
• Maintain accurate records of animal production, including breeding, births, and sales
• Supervise and train farm staff on proper animal handling and care techniques
• Ensure compliance with all animal welfare and safety regulations
• Work closely with the farm manager to develop and implement production plans and strategies
• Monitor animal behavior and make recommendations for improvements in housing and care
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote and sell farm products

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in animal production, preferably on a farm
• Advanced knowledge of animal husbandry and welfare practices
• Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and record-keeping software
