We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our dairy farm. As a Dairy Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the farm, including herd health, milk production, staff management, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall operation of the dairy farm, ensuring efficient and effective production of milk and other dairy products.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize milk production and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor herd health and implement preventative measures to ensure the health and well-being of the animals.
• Oversee the breeding, calving, and milking processes, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Manage a team of farm workers, providing guidance and training to ensure a high level of productivity and efficiency.
• Create and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and efficient use of resources.
• Maintain accurate records of herd and production data, and use data to make informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to dairy farming, including food safety and animal welfare.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of feed, equipment, and other necessary materials.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and promote the farm's products.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in dairy farming techniques, and implement best practices to improve the farm's operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dairy farming, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive knowledge of dairy farming techniques, herd health, and milk production.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proven experience in budgeting and financial management.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards related to dairy farming.
• Ability to work long hours and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Passion for agriculture and a strong commitment to animal welfare.
