Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement production plans to ensure efficient and effective use of resources, including feed, labor, and facilities.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the animal husbandry team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Monitor and maintain herd health and welfare, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate communication and coordination of production activities.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Manage inventory levels, ordering, and storage of feed and supplies.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment and facilities.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of necessary resources.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure production goals align with customer demand.
Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal production, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices, including breeding, nutrition, and health management.
Demonstrated experience in production planning and resource management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
