Position: Data Reliability Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with our Data Engineering and Data Science teams to design, build, and maintain our data systems and processes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data management, along with a passion for problem-solving and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data systems to ensure the reliability and availability of our data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to understand their requirements and implement solutions that meet their needs.
• Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Develop and maintain data monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Create and maintain documentation for all data systems and processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve data processes to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data management.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to any data incidents outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data engineering or data management role.
• Strong experience with SQL and data warehousing technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python or Java.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Luigi.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
