Position: Policy Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Policy Analyst to join our team. As a Policy Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping and influencing policies that impact our organization and the communities we serve. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to inform policy decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy analysis, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact through policy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis of policies and their potential impact on our organization and stakeholders.
• Monitor and track policy changes at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Identify trends and patterns in policy developments and their potential implications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and insights to inform policy recommendations.
• Develop and present reports and presentations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, government officials, and community partners.
• Provide guidance and recommendations on policy implementation and potential risks.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging policy trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to influence policy decisions.
• Represent our organization at industry events and policy-related meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in policy analysis, preferably in a corporate or government setting.
• Strong understanding of policy development and implementation processes.
• Proven experience in conducting research and analyzing data to inform policy decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies.
• Passion for social and economic justice and a desire to make a positive impact through policy.

Working Conditions: The Policy Analyst will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and may be required to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines. The position may also require travel to attend meetings and events.
