Job Title: Farm Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to oversee and manage our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, with a passion for sustainable farming practices. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of crop and livestock management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement farm plans and strategies to maximize productivity and profitability
• Manage all aspects of crop production, including planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting
• Oversee the care and management of livestock, including feeding, breeding, and health monitoring
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Hire, train, and supervise farm staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including inventory, expenses, and production data
• Monitor market trends and adjust farm operations accordingly to meet demand and increase profitability
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to crop and livestock management, and implement solutions
• Participate in budget planning and manage expenses to meet financial targets
• Continuously seek out and implement innovative and sustainable farming practices to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and trends, and incorporate best practices into farm operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management, with a proven track record of success
• Strong knowledge of crop and livestock production techniques and practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and motivate a team, providing guidance and support as needed
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans to increase productivity and profitability
• In-depth understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in the agricultural industry
• Proficient in record keeping and data analysis
• Familiarity with budget planning and expense management
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work long hours and weekends, as needed
• Passion for sustainable farming practices and commitment to environmental stewardship
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
