Job Summary: The Harvesting Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the harvesting process of our crops. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with various teams, managing schedules, and ensuring that all harvesting operations are carried out efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the farming team to create a harvesting schedule that aligns with production goals and meets customer demands
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely transport of harvested crops to the designated storage facility
• Monitor crop quality and work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all harvested crops meet company standards
• Assign tasks and provide guidance to harvesting crew members to ensure that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently
• Conduct regular inspections of harvesting equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team
• Maintain accurate records of harvested crops, including quantity, quality, and destination
• Keep track of weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to the harvesting schedule to minimize crop damage
• Communicate with the sales team to provide updates on harvest quantities and timelines
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures during harvesting operations
• Identify areas for improvement in the harvesting process and make recommendations to management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the agriculture industry
• Strong knowledge of harvesting techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
