Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with timber suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing agreements to ensure a reliable supply of timber.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and suitability for our company's needs.
Collaborate with internal teams such as production, sales, and finance to forecast timber demand and develop procurement strategies to meet these demands.
Monitor timber market trends and make recommendations to optimize procurement processes and strategies.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and sustainability standards related to timber procurement.
Manage logistics and transportation of timber resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to our production facilities.
Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement to ensure quality and consistency of timber supply.
Collaborate with suppliers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to address any environmental or social issues related to timber procurement.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions to our timber supply chain.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in timber procurement, preferably in the forestry industry.
Strong understanding of sustainable forestry practices and certification systems.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics.
Experience in market analysis and forecasting.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to timber procurement.
Proficient in MS Office and supply chain management software.
Willingness to travel as needed.
