Position: Fashion Buyer
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fashion Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting and purchasing the latest fashion trends for our company. You will work closely with our design and sales teams to ensure that our collections are on-trend, high-quality and meet the needs of our target market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and potential products
- Attend fashion shows, trade shows and industry events to stay updated on the latest fashion trends
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing
- Create and manage budgets for purchasing and inventory
- Analyze sales data and consumer behavior to make informed buying decisions
- Collaborate with the design team to develop product concepts and ensure they align with market trends
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments to ensure optimal stock levels
- Develop and implement buying strategies to improve sales and profitability
- Stay current on industry trends, competitors and market changes
- Travel to different locations to attend trade shows and meet with suppliers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fashion Buyer, preferably in a retail environment
- In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior and market trends
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Willingness to travel for work
