Position: Gameplay Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Gameplay Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Gameplay Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and interactive gameplay features for our cutting-edge video games. You will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to bring our game vision to life and provide players with an unforgettable gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement gameplay systems and features using C++ and other programming languages
- Collaborate with designers and artists to ensure gameplay features align with the overall game vision
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while optimizing for performance
- Troubleshoot and debug gameplay issues, providing timely solutions
- Conduct regular gameplay reviews and provide feedback to improve overall game experience
- Continuously research and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance gameplay features
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop and maintain game tools and systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in game development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in game development, with at least 2 years of experience as a Gameplay Engineer
- Proficient in C++ and other programming languages commonly used in game development
- Strong understanding of game design and gameplay mechanics
- Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal
- Knowledge of game development tools and software, including version control systems
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of video game trends and player preferences
