Position Title: Shipbuilding Technician

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shipbuilding Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Shipbuilding Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality ships through the use of advanced technology and techniques. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all shipbuilding processes are carried out efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest level of safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine shipbuilding requirements
• Set up and operate various shipbuilding equipment, such as welding machines, cutting tools, and measuring tools
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to assemble ship components according to specifications
• Conduct quality checks on ship components to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipbuilding process
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop solutions for complex shipbuilding challenges
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company and industry safety protocols
• Keep detailed records of all shipbuilding activities and materials used
• Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge related to shipbuilding processes and techniques

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in shipbuilding or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipbuilding or a similar field
• Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, techniques, and equipment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Ability to operate and maintain various shipbuilding tools and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
