Position: Paralegal

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys with various legal tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a passion for the legal field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support attorneys in case preparation
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements
• Maintain and organize legal files and documents
• Assist in the preparation of trial materials and attend trials when necessary
• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
• Communicate with courts, agencies, and other third parties to obtain necessary information
• Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies
• Conduct initial case assessments and gather evidence for attorneys
• Manage and update case calendars and deadlines
• Assist with the preparation of legal presentations and training materials
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact our cases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department
• Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in legal research and case management software
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with state and federal court systems and filing procedures
