Position: Data Storage Replication Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Storage Replication Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Storage Replication Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data storage replication systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and reliability of our data storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data storage replication solutions for our enterprise systems.
• Configure and maintain data replication tools and technologies, including but not limited to, EMC SRDF, Hitachi TrueCopy, and NetApp SnapMirror.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for replicated data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data replication, including performance and connectivity problems.
• Perform regular backups and restorations of replicated data to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor data replication processes and perform regular health checks to ensure system availability.
• Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades of data replication systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in data replication technologies and provide technical guidance to other team members.
• Document all data replication processes and procedures for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data storage replication engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of data replication technologies such as EMC SRDF, Hitachi TrueCopy, and NetApp SnapMirror.
• Proficient in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Strong understanding of storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS).
• Experience with backup and restoration of replicated data.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
