Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Climate Action Manager to join our team. As the Climate Action Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change and promote environmental sustainability within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's carbon footprint and identify areas for improvement.
• Create and implement a climate action plan to reduce the organization's greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability initiatives into their operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in climate action and environmental sustainability.
• Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to promote collaboration and partnerships for climate action.
• Monitor and report on the organization's progress towards sustainability goals and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement employee engagement programs to promote a culture of sustainability and encourage individual actions to reduce carbon footprint.
• Lead the organization's efforts in obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications and accreditations related to climate action and sustainability.
• Manage the organization's sustainability budget and seek out opportunities for cost savings through sustainable practices.
• Educate and raise awareness among employees, stakeholders, and the community about the importance of climate action and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in climate action, sustainability, or environmental management.
• Strong knowledge of local, national, and international climate action initiatives and policies.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful sustainability programs.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the planet.
