Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished textile products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Conduct visual and physical tests on textiles, including strength, colorfastness, shrinkage, and appearance, using specialized equipment and techniques
Identify and document any defects or deviations from quality standards, and work with production teams to address and resolve issues in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspection results, including measurements, observations, and sample testing data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control procedures and ensure their proper implementation throughout the production process
Monitor production processes and equipment to identify potential issues and take corrective actions to prevent or minimize defects
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, and make recommendations for process improvements to ensure compliance
Train and mentor junior QC inspectors on quality standards, testing methods, and procedures
Participate in quality audits and assist with the development of corrective and preventive actions as needed
Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding quality issues and work with them to resolve any non-conformances
Provide regular reports on quality metrics, including defect rates, inspection results, and any quality-related concerns or trends

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant college degree or certification in textiles, quality assurance, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably in the textile industry
Strong knowledge of textile materials, production processes, and quality standards
Experience with testing equipment and methods, including color matching, tensile testing, and fabric weight measurement
Familiarity with quality management systems and tools, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and document defects accurately
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with quality control software is a plus
