Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement efficient database structures and schemas to support our applications and business requirements
Develop and maintain database standards and best practices to ensure consistency and reliability across all databases
Monitor and optimize database performance, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise
Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data
Collaborate with developers to design and implement database-driven software applications
Work with operations team to plan and execute database backups, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
Identify and recommend opportunities for database optimization and automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their integration into our systems
Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, including training on database design and maintenance best practices

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 5 of experience as a Database Engineer or a similar role
Strong expertise in database design, implementation, and administration
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
Knowledge of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures
Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and high availability strategies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
