Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Programmer to join our team. As a Database Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases for our organization. You will work closely with our data analysts and software developers to ensure that our databases are efficient, secure, and optimized for data retrieval and storage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database design and development, as well as a passion for problem-solving and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop relational databases for our organization using SQL and other database management tools
• Collaborate with data analysts and software developers to understand data requirements and design efficient database structures
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and database schemas
• Develop and implement database security measures to protect sensitive data
• Optimize database performance by monitoring and tuning database parameters and queries
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, and provide timely support to end-users
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and updates
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology, and make recommendations for improvements to our database systems
• Train and mentor junior database programmers and provide technical guidance and support to team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in database design, development, and management
• Proficiency in SQL and other database management tools, such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB
• Strong understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance optimization techniques
• Experience with data modeling and ETL processes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
