Job Overview: As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing academic support services to students at Crestwood Crestwood Tech Academy. You will be responsible for assisting students in achieving their academic goals by providing them with the necessary resources and support they need. Your role will involve working closely with students, faculty, and other members of the academic support team to ensure the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one academic support to students, including tutoring, study skills development, and time management strategies
• Conduct academic workshops and seminars on study skills, test-taking strategies, and other relevant topics
• Assist students with developing personalized academic plans and setting achievable goals
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and faculty on areas of improvement
• Collaborate with faculty to identify at-risk students and develop intervention strategies
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
• Stay updated on current academic support trends and best practices to enhance services provided to students
• Participate in academic support team meetings and professional development opportunities
• Assist in the development and implementation of academic support programs and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic support, tutoring, or a related field
• Strong understanding of learning styles and academic challenges faced by students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Experience with learning management systems and online tutoring platforms is a plus
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Passion for helping students achieve academic success
