Telecommunications Technician

This is a full-time position, with occasional weekend or evening work as needed. The work may involve traveling to different locations to install or maintain telecommunication systems. The ability to work in confined spaces and at heights is required. The position may also require lifting and carrying heavy equipment and working in adverse weather conditions.

Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of telecommunication systems and equipment. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunication systems, and providing support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication systems and equipment, including but not limited to telephone systems, internet networks, cable television systems, and wireless communication systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telecommunication systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the smooth operation of telecommunication systems.
• Install and configure new telecommunication systems and equipment according to specifications.
• Provide technical support to clients and address their inquiries and concerns.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our telecommunication systems.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in telecommunication technology and industry trends.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in telecommunications or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience with various telecommunication systems and equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
