Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to gather accurate and reliable information
Write compelling and well-researched news articles for print and online platforms
Pitch and develop story ideas that align with the company's editorial standards and mission
Utilize multimedia tools to create visually appealing and engaging content such as videos, infographics, and podcasts
Conduct interviews with sources in person or remotely, and maintain professional relationships with contacts
Collaborate with editors and other team members to ensure the accuracy and quality of content
Stay up-to-date with current events and monitor trends in the industry to identify potential story ideas
Adhere to strict deadlines and manage time efficiently to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
Engage with audience and respond to comments on social media platforms to foster a sense of community and increase engagement

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a journalist, preferably in multimedia journalism
Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and Audacity
In-depth knowledge of AP Style and other journalistic standards
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in journalism
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
