Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough site investigations and surveys to gather relevant data for the design process.
Analyze and interpret data to develop conceptual designs and plans for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, pipelines, and other structures.
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and models of proposed designs.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop comprehensive designs that meet project requirements and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Prepare detailed reports, calculations, and cost estimates for proposed projects.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed designs and make necessary adjustments to ensure their success.
Identify potential risks and challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
Conduct quality control checks on completed projects to ensure they meet design requirements and specifications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to continuously improve the design process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design.
Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in design work.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
