We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wood Product Manufacturing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment used in the production of wood products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and equipment such as saws, planers, sanders, and routers
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production of wood products
• Measure and cut wood materials to specific dimensions using various hand and power tools
• Assemble and join wood pieces to create finished products, such as cabinets, furniture, and flooring
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and ensure quality standards are met
• Keep detailed records of production and materials used for inventory purposes
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical or trade school certification in woodworking is preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in wood product manufacturing
• Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment, including saws, planers, routers, and sanders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and cut wood materials
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy materials
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
