Security Officer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees and visitors. Your role will involve monitoring and patrolling our premises, as well as responding to any security incidents that may arise. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of all individuals and property
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect any suspicious activity or potential security breaches
• Respond to and investigate any security incidents, such as theft, property damage, or trespassing
• Maintain detailed records of all security-related activities and incidents
• Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Conduct security checks of employees and visitors, including bag checks and ID verification
• Provide excellent customer service to all individuals on the premises
• Assist with the development and implementation of security protocols and emergency response plans
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in criminal justice or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a security officer or in a related field, such as law enforcement or military
• Strong observational and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Proficient in using various security equipment and technology, such as surveillance cameras and access control systems
• Physical ability to perform security duties, including standing for long periods, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid state-issued security license and driver's license
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus
