Key Responsibilities:

Conduct extensive research to gather accurate and relevant information for news stories
Write and edit news scripts in a clear and concise manner
Present news stories live on television, radio, or online
Conduct interviews with guests and experts on various topics
Collaborate with the news team to determine which stories to cover and how to present them
Stay up-to-date with current events and news developments both locally and globally
Ensure all news content adheres to ethical and legal standards
Engage with the audience through social media platforms to promote news stories and gather feedback
Participate in news meetings and provide input on story ideas and presentation styles
Be available for breaking news coverage and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Attend community events and represent the news station in a professional manner

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years experience as a News Anchor or similar role
Proven experience in producing, writing, and presenting news stories
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong on-camera presence and ability to deliver news stories in a clear and engaging manner
Proficient in social media platforms and able to engage with the audience effectively
In-depth knowledge of journalistic ethics and standards
Strong research and fact-checking skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
