Job Title: Debt Recovery Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Debt Recovery Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Debt Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company’s debt recovery process and ensuring the timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts. You will work closely with clients, creditors, and internal teams to develop and implement effective strategies for debt recovery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as strong leadership abilities to oversee a team of debt recovery specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement debt recovery strategies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage a team of debt recovery specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets set targets and deadlines.
• Review and analyze debt recovery processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients and creditors to negotiate payment plans and resolve outstanding debts.
• Monitor and track debt recovery progress, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as credit control and legal, to resolve complex debt recovery cases.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and legal partners to assist with debt collection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection practices.
• Train and mentor new team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in debt recovery, preferably in a managerial role.
• Excellent knowledge of debt recovery practices and procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and debt recovery software.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection.
