Job Title: Recreation Program Director

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Recreation Program Director to lead our recreation department and oversee all programs and activities. As the Recreation Program Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of recreational programs for individuals of all ages and abilities. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, creativity, and a passion for promoting health and wellness through recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreation program that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
• Plan and schedule recreational activities, classes, and events for all age groups.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to ensure participant satisfaction and achievement of program goals.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of program staff, volunteers, and instructors.
• Coordinate with community partners and vendors to secure resources, equipment, and facilities for programs.
• Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
• Promote programs through various marketing and outreach efforts, including social media, flyers, and newsletters.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program participation, revenues, and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and enhance programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a recreation or leisure services setting.
• Proven experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals.
• Knowledge of budget management and marketing strategies.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Passion for promoting health and wellness through recreational activities.
