Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of the science curriculum for all grade levels
Research and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in science education
Collaborate with teachers and other curriculum specialists to ensure alignment of the science curriculum with state and national standards
Develop and modify lesson plans, assessments, and activities to meet the diverse learning needs of students
Provide professional development and training to teachers on the science curriculum and instructional strategies
Analyze student data to evaluate the effectiveness of the science curriculum and make necessary adjustments
Create and maintain a repository of resources, including digital and hands-on materials, to support the science curriculum
Serve as a liaison between the curriculum team and science departments at schools to gather feedback and make improvements to the curriculum
Collaborate with external partners, such as museums and science organizations, to enhance the science curriculum with real-world experiences
Stay current on emerging technologies and incorporate them into the science curriculum to enhance student learning and engagement
Attend conferences and workshops to further professional development and stay updated on the latest developments in science education

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Science, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, with a focus on science education
Strong knowledge of state and national standards for science education
Excellent understanding of instructional design and assessment techniques
Experience in providing professional development and training to teachers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Passion for science education and a desire to continuously improve and innovate the science curriculum
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in educational technology and digital tools for curriculum development and delivery
