Position: Meter Reader

Location: Bamako, Mali

Employment Type: Part-time

About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meter Reader to join our team. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for accurately recording and reporting utility meter readings for residential and commercial properties. This is a physical role that requires walking, climbing, and bending in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize handheld devices to accurately record and report meter readings for water, gas, and electric meters
• Ensure all meter readings are recorded on the correct date and time
• Identify and report any damaged or malfunctioning meters to the appropriate department
• Maintain accurate records of meter readings and report any discrepancies
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures while performing duties
• Keep track of assigned routes and complete daily work within the designated time frame
• Keep track of supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Basic math skills and ability to read and record numbers accurately
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work in various weather conditions and walk long distances
• Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
