Job Title: Wine & Spirits Sommelier

Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine & Spirits Sommelier to join our team. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expertise in wine and spirits to our guests. You will collaborate with our culinary team to curate an exceptional dining experience and help our guests discover new and exciting flavors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer exceptional customer service by providing guests with expert recommendations and knowledge about our wine and spirits offerings.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive wine and spirits list that meets the needs and preferences of our guests.
• Collaborate with our culinary team to create unique food and wine pairings that enhance the overall dining experience.
• Manage inventory and ordering of wines and spirits, ensuring that the selection is diverse and well-stocked.
• Develop and lead wine and spirits tastings, classes, and events to educate guests and staff on different regions, varietals, and production methods.
• Train and mentor servers and bartenders on wine and spirits knowledge and proper service techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized wine storage area, ensuring proper storage and handling of all bottles.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and emerging markets to continually enhance our offerings.
• Provide recommendations for wine and spirits promotions and marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of wines and spirits, including regions, varietals, production methods, and food pairings.
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating unforgettable dining experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the culinary team and effectively educate and engage guests.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in inventory management and ordering systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.
