Key Responsibilities:

Research, evaluate, and select construction materials suppliers based on quality, cost, and availability
Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to ensure the best value for our projects
Review construction plans and specifications to determine the required materials and quantities
Coordinate with project managers to develop material schedules and delivery timelines
Monitor and track material inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for ongoing projects
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that materials meet quality and safety standards
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies with materials, including coordinating replacements or returns if necessary
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction materials to make informed decisions on material selection
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and effective communication and problem-solving
Train and educate project teams on proper material handling and usage to maintain quality and safety standards

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction materials procurement and management
Knowledge of construction materials, their properties, and proper usage
Strong negotiation and Contract management skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data and information
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and suppliers
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
