Position Title: Trade & Transportation Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade & Transportation Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Trade & Transportation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's trade and transportation operations. This includes managing trade relationships, negotiating freight rates, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in trade and transportation, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, including suppliers, vendors, and carriers
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of goods
• Monitor trade and transportation trends, market conditions, and regulations to make strategic decisions and minimize risks
• Oversee the coordination of logistics, including scheduling shipments, tracking cargo, and managing inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with all trade and transportation regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and safety regulations
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline trade and transportation processes and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
• Manage a team of trade and transportation professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in trade and transportation, preferably in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics operations
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of building and maintaining successful trade relationships
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions
• Experience with logistics software and systems, such as TMS and WMS
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
